It’s hard to imagine saying this about a dental procedure, but my experience with Dr. Lizano and his staff was nothing short of fantastic. My positive experience is due to the results of my procedure and the staff itself. From the first day (starting with my conversation with Cindy, the front office manager and CDA & CALOMSA) and continuing through the end of the procedure, everyone was super friendly and professional. Cindy was so warmly compassionate that I complimented her on her phone personality the first day I spoke to her. My procedure was a very involved and lengthy one. Lauren, Dr. Lizano’s assistant (RDA & CALOMSA) was very competent and personable, and always ready with Vaseline for my lips after I asked for it the first time. Dr. Lizano himself was also warm and friendly, and extremely competent. He explained everything to me each time, and ultimately, I couldn’t be happier with the results of my procedure. It’s better by several levels of magnitude than my original teeth at their best! Dr. Lizano gave me several options, the best of which was to remove my remaining teeth (I was down to half my original teeth, the remaining being in extremely poor condition) and attach an apparatus via implants (4 upper and four lower) to serve as my upper and lower teeth. These were like dentures, but in the shape of a night guard – far smaller than actual dentures, and firmly screwed in. No need to remove them, no ill-fitting or loose partials (that I lost constantly, at no small expenditure to replace), no upper or lower plate to interfere with my palate or for food to get caught under. Full implants were not an option due to my receding gums and poor bone structure. My procedure is technically described as “double jaw, full arch replacement of failing teeth with dental implants and teeth placed the same day (in lower jaw), with personalized smile design using the latest 3-D facial scanning techniques and have double, full arch Zirconia implant prostheses”. It was a lengthy procedure, necessitating several months of temporaries, but even the temporaries, which were screwed in, were far preferable to a removable device. And the result is nothing short of amazing! The final apparatus, which I just had put in, is almost minimal in construction, and the teeth themselves not only look extremely natural, but they’re also BEAUTIFUL, and SO effective and functional! It was absolutely worth the time AND every penny. As I said earlier, I PREFER them to my original natural teeth! I had one or two small emergencies - In the first instance, the emergency doctor was very caring and did everything she could think of to help me, even to the point of trying to get me in to see an associate of hers closer to where I lived. The second one occurred on a Sunday, and when I called the emergency doctor, I got Dr. Lizano himself. He was at an event, but he spent as much time as was needed with me on the phone to accommodate me. He immediately canceled his surgeries and appointments the next morning and came in extremely early Monday morning to get my teeth squared away – in plenty of time for me to catch my 10am flight from SFO! I was sure I’d have to miss my business trip, but he really came through for me and made my tooth issue an absolute priority. There were some other non-emergency concerns, and the staff (Cindy, Lauren, and Dr. Lizano himself) always responded to my questions and concerns immediately. I would recommend Diablo Valley Implant Dr. Lizano, DDS, APC, and staff whole-heartedly. I promise if you choose to avail yourself of his services, you will NOT be sorry. In fact, you will come away with tremendously positive feelings about your dental experience, and, like me, you will be amazed by how positive and rewarding your experience was.
